I show up in the team's meeting room, light up a big-ass fat cigar (not having to worry about cancer is awesome), and put my feet up on the desk. Looking around, I see that none of my assigned Immortal teammate have shown up yet, and shrug.
"So you guys.. I gather you be the.. clerical staff? Also probably the ones who get shafted when our missions go overbudget and your bonuses get cut. No freakin' worries folks, I like ya'll, I'll make it up for you. Plus I'll bring awesome coffee from Brazil or something."
I flip through the team roster before going on.
"Now I don't know jack 'bout that Lokan or Tannim guy.. But I know Sara somewhat, and I believe she feels the same. And I've known that Second Talon dude for a while, and I -know- he'll be on our all side's. So don't worry guys, ya'll be a part of the team. Shit.. Is there a phone I can used hooked up somewhere? What do I dial to getan outside line, long-distance?"
Once prompted right, I dial up the twins and my sisters, making sure all is still kosher up there.

I grin and wave at Sara as she comes in, talking on the phone for just a bit more.
"Ok, ok Dom, faut que j'y aille, un d'mes collegues vient d'arriver. Ouais, ouais, j'va t'rappeler plus tard, on parlera plus." ... "J'sais pas, man. Chu sure qu'j'va avoir des vacances, pis on sait jamais, peut-etre une job dans ton coin, on verra. A'ight man, a plus."
Hanging up, I jump to my feet and walk over to Sara.
"Hey, Bella! Howz it? Was really psyched to see your name on the roster, I can tell you that right now. We gonna be awesome. I figure once the others show up, hopefully before our.. Supervisor or whatever, we should run down our skills and what not, figure out what we all can do and shit. In the meantime, How's stuff back home? Quint and Jon and the princess and angel doing a'ight?"

I hold out my hand for a firm handshake. "Nice to meet you."
To Barak; "Love that accent. I don't know how everyone is. I assume they're are well. I suppose I should give Jon a call eventually."
To both: "Well, here we are."

"Hey Lokan! Damn glad to meet ya again under better circumstances. That was some fucked up shit those bastards tried to pull. That.. Brian.. He wasn't a friend of yours, right?"
I look a bit puzzled at Sara's somewhat off-hand comment, but close my mouth before inquiring into something that isn't really, after all, my business.
"Yeah.. We just be missing good ol' ST and Tannim. Say, Lokan.. That Tannim, he be a friend of yours from.. Before, ain't that right? What type of guy is he?"

"Nice to meet you also, ..., What is your name?"
"I fully agree, Mador, some absolutely fucked up shit. No, don't think I know any Brian, I wasn't part of the complex-infiltration team, though, I headed up security disabling and site extraction. I overheard that chai-ta recovered a vox of some guy named Brian. Guess he got caught a little too close to the action."
"Yeah, Tannim and I have been friends since ... before. He's a good guy and he knows his shit. If there is something he is not, though, its sarcastic. No, definitely not that.... No" *smiles*
"Did you too make to move alright? Get your other life in order? That was one hard conversation trying to explain this to my wife, but she does dig the new house. We always wanted a decent piece of land without people all over the place and this sure fits the bill."

I walk in the room with an Alabama 3 t-shirt (The Meek Ain't Gonna Inherit Shit!) on, as well as jeans and running shoes. I wrinkle my nose a bit at the smell of Mador's cigar, and smile otherwise. Over my shoulder I finish a joke with one of the office staff.
"Howdy howdy, y'all. Matt! Good to see you! How's the kid?" I grab a mug and pour myself some coffee.
After Lokan answers, I'll sit down and say "I don't know about you kids, but nothing gets me more excited than enterprise resource coordination."

Lokan, on Oct 30 2007, 04:28 PM, said:
To everyone in general, "Soooo, am I to understand we do data analysis, information gathering, and the interrogations?"
May Hanscher, the director of your group, looks up from her papers and puts in, "Information control is also one of this group's primary responsibilities. For instance, keeping vital information from escaping to the general public, or making sure that a certain group is perceived in a favorable light by its target audience.
